I'm from Panama City, Florida originally. I lived there all my life until I went off to college. I went to college at Caltech, in Pasadena, California. That really was a "Best of Times / Worst of Times" experience. I received a great education and met the people who are still my best friends. But Caltech is a tough place and then there's the ratio... Anyways, after a brief forray into teaching at my old high school, I moved to the Bay Area in 2000. I am married now to my wife Crystal. We had our first child, Michael, Jr. on March 18, 2004. I know it's cliche, but it really was the happiest day of my life. I put a lot of pictures of Michael online so that our families (mine in Florida, hers in Bakersfield, CA) can see them. We had our second child, Raymond, on November 17, 2005.
